My duties as a hostess included greeting and seating guests, cleaning and prepping tables, delivering takeout orders, and handling any customer complaints in a respectful manner, and answered telephone and in-person inquiries. I worked well with teammates and openly invited coaching from the management team. Although I enjoyed my position greatly, compensation was not adequate.

While completing my classes to get my manicurist license, I attended the Hilltop Training Academy for TDCJ. I was sworn in August 15th and began my career at the Maximum Security Men's unit, Alfred D. Hughes. My job duties were to attend to inmate needs, transport them to different buildings/facilities, provide inmate/public safety, promote positive change in inmate behavior, reintegrate inmates into society, and assist victims of crime.

I played volleyball my freshman and sophomore year and would have loved to continue, but due to Covid could not. However taking my classes online for the remainder of my high school career I was able to graduate early.

After graduating highschool, I immediately started taking classes to get my manicurist license. After obtaining my license I worked out of a joint suite with a coworker.
