Communicates with campus, and department administrative staff to process leave of absence, and maintain confidentiality of all information. Process leaves of absences, and determine eligibility for various leave programs including Family and Medical leave, and temporary Disability Leave according to established guidelines, and provide employees with required timely notice. Process completed, and review disability paperwork. Complete the ADA interactive process for all district employee as needed. Counsel with employees, and supervisors concerning leave benefits, and provide employees with accurate information relating to medical certification requirements, return to work dates, etc. Work cooperatively with payroll department, and our workers compensation vendor to process, and coordinate all employee leaves of absences. Administer employee benefits programs such as group health insurance, dental, life, and medical reimbursement, and process to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution. Process employee benefits enrollment, and change forms within required time limits to meet payroll deadlines and maintain confidentiality of all information. Lead benefits open enrollment meetings, and new hire orientations. Lead professional development training for leaves, benefits, and workers compensation. Lead secretary in service training.

Responsible for organizing, and supporting the district workers compensation program according to established policy, rules, and regulations. Process all workers compensation claims in a timely manner, and provide timely notification, and communication to employee, and supervisors regarding leaves as a result of workers compensation. Research workers compensation related information such as medical history, and records of prior claims. Prepare information for departmental supervisors on questionable or unusual incidents. Facilitate employee return to work, arrange for the development of modified duty with principals, and departmental supervisors. Maintain confidentiality of information. Use works compensation software, prepare and maintain TWCC forms.
