Accreditation Project Manager/Coordinator/Consultant for Accreditation

City of Atlanta, GA Parks and Recreation Department - Atlanta, GA - May 2005 to August 2021

Job Duties: Manages an internal control and auditing system for Accreditation's 151 Standards. An internal documenting system was developed by applicant to ensure the agency maintains a level of transparency and consistency throughout the five-year cycle.

Training Coordinator: Provides staff training in Law Enforcement, Active Shooter, Emergency Management, Laws and Ordinances, Risk Management, and Community Relations.

Writing Skills: Writes, revises, and executes an Accreditation Compliance Document (Internal Control System). Writes and compiles information for standards; develops and writes departmental policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and measures documentation as needed.

Leadership and Consultation Skills: Provides leadership and guidance for Directors, Management, and Staff to complete any documentation needed for the 151 Accreditation standards. Departmental liaison with The Commission that Accredits Parks and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), The Department of Justice (DOJ), The Atlanta Police Department (APD), and The Atlanta Fire Department to determine documentation and compliance measures needed for Accreditation.

ADA Project Manager

History: Agency signed a decree with the Department of Justice to complete over 800 violations cited under the Project Civic Access campaign.
