• Agile Program Management: Managed many multi-stream software development efforts, with large (100+) cross functional clients, contractors and third-party engineering teams, including remotely distributed efforts across domestic and international locations. Record of success delivering software applications to clients on time and within budget. o Developed program level, cross-functional “on demand” reporting dashboard (program/sprint status and OKRS) for executives, PMO, teams and other key stakeholders. o Coordinated delivery assurance, infosec, architecture, centers of excellence, training, hiring (talent), change management and performance evaluations with project managers and PMO. • Contract consulting, with focus on digital transformation assessment, recommendation and execution, agile program & project management and freelance drone digital photography and operations. • Responsible for account setup (source & staff agile/platform delivery teams, manage executive client relationships, budget/ invoicing, establish/manage relationship and reporting (financial, delivery status) with PMO) and execution of software delivery and/or transformation plans as specified in SOW. Also responsible for presentation of QBR and ongoing growth of account.

• Advises and leads digital transformation efforts, including initial assessment, prioritized recommendations and roadmap with approach to change management, training, communication plan, governance and ongoing management. Most recently,

o Partnered with Business Development to prepare and pitch to a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. The effort resulted in a unique, follow on workshop opportunity with key stakeholders, to demonstrate “in real time” how we could effectively partner.

o Remotely, (including cross-functional teams in Germany and India) conducted an 8-week optimization assessment of a re-platforming effort at a major financial institution in Tbilisi, Georgia. Conducted interviews with CIO, VP of IT, platform & tribe leads (Spotify model), with review of artifacts and tools (JIRA, Confluence). The CIO provided a unique opportunity allowing for presentation of our findings to the executive board – resulting in approval/funding for our remediation plan.

Director of Delivery Transformation: Tantalus Systems, Burnaby, BC Sep 2014 – Jan 2019

• Reported to CEO, responsible for the creation/implementation of an IT organization transformation plan that ran parallel to a greater companywide reorganization effort. My charter was to help improve our NPS via reduction in defects and increase speed to market for new, competitive utilities products. The transformation involved re-orientation from a reactionary, project/date driven process to a proactive product/outcome-based model, highly aligned with customer demand.

o Introduced agile prioritization and inception process that involved sales, marketing and engineering. The effort reduced WIP, minimized team context switching and improved delivery efficiency. o Unified a multi-faceted, disintegrated development process [hardware, software and firmware) via implementation of agile/lean methods; included skills & agile training for project leads and accessibility to team progress (sprint/release burn downs) via highly visible dashboards. o Managed a strategic, new product integration effort, in partnership with an international manufacturer of electric meters. The effort increased market share and revenue by expanding native meter products into a new 3rd party product line.

Principal Consultant & Program Manager: Thoughtworks, Inc. Chicago, IL Nov 2000 – Sep 2014

• Managed sold accounts; team management, client relations, client/legal negotiation, contract generation, risk management, budget control, account “kick off”, executive coaching, participant on steering committee, and partner with client PMO.

o Transitioned traditional {waterfall, agile fall) accounts to agile/lean methods, as promoted by Thoughtworks pioneering (Martin Fowler, Chief Scientist) methods of software delivery. o Maintained client management responsibilities over a full stack team responsible for many applications, including the design, development and roll out of mobile deposit feature for iPad, iPhone, and Android for a major financial institution.

o Led a $2.5 million business development efforts for an international gaming client; inclusive of responding to RFP, winning contract, and initiating transformation and development efforts to bridge software, hardware, and manufacturing processes The process enabled the client to provide greater transparency into the development process, reduced friction between the business (located in the Netherlands and US) and engineering and enabled an on time, focused delivery for the competitive holiday season. o Client Relationship Principal for a Chicago based digital media consortium; prepared and successfully pitched a proposal to client media executives and sold initial contracts totaling approximately $500K to $1 mil. Our efforts provided agile development support for the consortiums effort to purchase traditional print media organizations and convert the operation to digital, web based media. Education
