While employed by FlyExclusive I was responsible for stripping old finish, veneers, masking parts, prep sanding, painting, and training less experienced finishers. FlyExclusive is a flight subscription service with a fleet of planes ranging from Cessna, citations, to Gulfstream IV. Work is done in the back shop however I was almost exclusively tasked with in plane repairs.
Some leather refurbishment, dying, painting and prep work included.

As a finisher with Comlux I was responsible for prep sanding, masking parts for paint/ clear coat. Buffing, and minor repairs in the cabinet shop and on the planes.
I aided in preparing isodamp, carpet padding, and carpet for installation, and assisting in the upholstery shop making patterns, covering panels, drawers, and cabinet parts.

Other responsibilities required me to work in different capacities during slow periods Including disassembly of parts coming into the shop area, and assembly of completed parts.

Served as lead finisher in the finish shop, duties required me to teach and oversee all tasks assigned to shop by Finish shop supervisor, serve as liaison between employees and supervisor, quality check all materials and finished products to verify they are suitable for customers.
●Brush, spray, or hand-rub finishing ingredients, such as paint, oil, stain, or wax, onto and into wood grain; then apply lacquer or other sealers.
●Smooth, shape, and touch-up surfaces to prepare them for finishing, using sandpaper, pumice stones, steel wool, chisels, sanders, or grinders.
●Select appropriate finishing ingredients such as paint, stain, lacquer, shellac, or varnish, depending on factors such as wood hardness and surface type.

●Remove old finishes and damaged or deteriorated parts, using hand tools, stripping tools, sandpaper, steel wool, abrasives, solvents, and/or dip baths.
