The process calls requesting and dispatching security officers utilizing a two-way radio system. Conduct security response and patrol functions and responds to emergencies when security officers are not present. Monitors security, fire, and other alarm systems at the AAO, notifying officers of alarms received. Provide backup alarm system monitoring for all Aurora medical centers whenever needed. Coordinate emergency and non-emergency responses to criminal, medical, or fire-related incidents. Maintain accurate computerized burglary alarm call lists and alarm event instructions. Monitor the CCTV system to detect criminal activity, dispatch officers when suspicious activity is noted, and document all observations and unusual incidents. Utilize the video management software application to retrieve recorded video for us as evidence. Signs out keys/access cards to employees and ensures proper documentation. Control access through remote locked entrances and screen visitors who are requesting access for proper authorizations. Perform clerical duties including typing, data entry, filing, telephone answering, generating statistical reports from computer databases, maintaining, and updating operational manuals, and performing audits of keys and envelops containing patient’s valuable.
