Administrating all of the servers including the remote sites

Tech support for just about every operating system and software at every level

Administrating and installing the Telephone systems

At Envipco, I was hired as the Network Administrator.

I took charge of the network and quickly implemented an antivirus program, fixing many Virus problems along the way. I rewired the second floor and much of the first floor then, replaced all the switches and patch cords to speed up the network. After that, I attacked the workstations updating and standardizing all the software and operating systems across the network. I built a new Exchange server for E-Mail and installed an Anti Spam Filter to keep unwanted e-mail out.

The telephone system was in disrepair so, I updated the phone system and replaced the operator console with a computer, keyboard and monitor that looked like a really high tech new system. I also patched the problems that were caused by many years of neglect. I also priced out and installed an new NEC DSX system. Then, a VOIP system from BroadView and then, when they had Trouble, we replaced it with a new system from 8X8… an excellent company.

When I reconfigured the original servers and installed many new servers of varying functions I noticed that the power coming into the server room was sub-standard so, I configured, priced out, purchased, and over-saw the installation of a Large Propane Generator and UPS System for the entire Server room. I also helped install and set up many VM servers using VMWare.

When I arrived at Envipco I noticed many inefficient ink jet printers on people’s desks and some general printers and copiers in areas that were inaccessible to most people. I devised a plan that replaced Most of the Copiers with Copier, Scanner, Printers that were available to everyone. The new copiers were more efficient, more reliable and a lot more cost effective. For an environmental company, we kill many, many trees.

I do all levels of tech support for:

Users, Technicians, External Employees, Remote Offices, Customers & Vendors

I work with software developers to develop and implement a new environment for the Reverse Vending Machines that we manufacture. I build, repair and refurbish new and used equipment for use in the office and field.

I also work with the Engineers that use Solidworks to 3d develop new machines. And helped install a Plasma cutting machine that runs with Autocad.
