Value Stream Engineer and Release Train Engineer for Community and States Growth area

To improve operational effectiveness, I created a set of tools (7 Apps) for the Value Stream Engineers to provide consistent reporting to the Scrum teams for monitoring progress and identification of blockers.

To provide business with consistent reporting (progress, finances, blockers, etc.) I established a base set of reports/apps and engaged peers for additional feature and functionality which was then presented to three levels of management for use across the teams.

Removed project manager and negotiated with the sponsor to revise scope and milestones on VPN project. The project was over a year behind in delivery, had over committed on delivery of hardware, lost sponsor support, and was underfunded. Overhauled the project scope of the Password Vault project. Project manager was focused on operational and marketing aspects that the business line had relinquished. I redirected the team to deliver project deliverables bringing the project back on schedule.

Escalated issues and delivery schedule with senior and technology management on the Enterprise Key Management (EKM) project as it lost sponsor support and focus. The project was experiencing schedule and funding delays. Devised a plan to arrive at a new delivery date and funding source for the mainframe encryption hardware.

Analyzed data on current rate of delivery and determined that the Identify and Access Management (AIM/UDA) project was scheduled to deliver 18 months beyond scheduled date. The analysis was shared with the project team and Sr management leading to additional tools being engaged to assist in meeting delivery dates and new dashboard for measuring progress.
