EXPERIENCE:
Role: Academic Project Jan 2023 – Mar 2023
Project: JSON Data Denormalization
Responsibilities:
Worked on a project which aimed at understanding the underlying data structures and relationships between hierarchical data in JSON format.
The primary goal was to transform this complex data into a flat, denormalized format that would be easier for data analysts and data scientists to use.
Worked with team to develop and implement the denormalization process using Python programming language and related libraries.
Hands-on experience on using JSON data for analysis and testing.
Experience on using Pytest, a Python testing framework, to conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure that the transformed data was accurate.
The outcome of this project was a streamlined and efficient process for denormalizing JSON data, which significantly reduced the time required for data preparation and analysis.
Role: Academic Project Aug 2022 – Dec 2022
Project: Warfarin Dose Prediction
Responsibilities:
Developed a machine learning pipeline to predict warfarin dose using an uncleaned dataset.
Processed data using TensorFlow, NumPy, and Pandas.
Gained hands-on experience in data visualization, detecting multicollinearity, feature scaling, and regularization techniques.
Utilized support vector machine, random forest, k-nearest-neighbors, ensemble learning, and neural networks using Keras.
Tuned many different hyperparameters using GridSearchCV.
Achieved successful outcomes with almost 98% accuracy.
Deployed the project using Gradio in Hugging Face.
Gained valuable experience in machine learning pipeline development and optimization, including data processing, modeling, hyperparameter tuning, and deployment.
Role: Academic Project Aug 2021 – Dec 2021
Project: Spell Checker
Responsibilities:
Collaborated with a team to design and implement a web application using Python and Flask framework that checks for spelling errors in user input and returns a list of misspelled words.
The application was developed following an Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
Developed the backend programming using Python and working with web frameworks such as Flask, Django, and Ajax.
Gained hands-on experience in working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop the frontend for the web page.
Developed an accurate spell checking and suggestions for correct spelling, user-friendly interface, and efficient processing of large amounts of text.
The spell-checking feature was implemented for both English and Irish language.
Improved the accuracy of spelling in user input by 90% and F1- score of 0.92, resulting in more professional and error-free communication.
The application received positive feedback from our stakeholders and was well-received by the end-users.
This project provided me with valuable experience in software design and development, including frontend and backend programming, Agile methodologies, and Scrum framework.
Role: Service Now Intern Aug 2020 – Dec 2020
Project: Garbage Management System
End client: ServiceNow
Employer: ServiceNow
Responsibilities:
This application could include a scheduling system that allows garbage collection routes to be planned and optimized based on factors such as collection frequency, collection zone, and collection type.
Real-time reporting and analytics capabilities that allow waste management officials to track performance metrics such as collection times, bin utilization rates, and waste diversion rates.
Creating and maintaining Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups, and Roles.
Developed and maintained dashboards and reports that provide insight into business operations.
Enabling data to flow between systems and processes to be automated, coordinated with clients directly to get data from different databases.
Used GIS tools to provide geospatial information about the location of garbage bins, collection routes, and other key information.
Hands-on experience working with JavaScript, and it is used to develop client-side and server-side functionality.
Hands-on experience on REST API to integrate with other systems and applications.
Merged data with existing data sets, careful to keep old data sets and documentation.
Communicated effectively with project management regarding issues and needs for project.
