Marala Hydro Power plant 7.64MW Sialkot. (Dec 2019 ) Previous Designation: Junior Engineer C&I SCADA.

Client: PPDCL, Pakistan.

Contractor: Alfajr International.

As a junior C&I SCADA Engineer, my job responsibilities are to ensure all the following equipment working safely and efficiently by their timely preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of the faulty equipment.

• Level Switches

• Pressure Switches, transducers and Gauges

• Pressure transmitters

• RTDs & thermocouples

• Displacement Encoders

• Limit Switches

• Servo Valves Electrical Protections

• Governor System

• NR SCADA PCS-9700

• Control system Supervision and controlling of whole Power House through SCADA. Identification and prioritization of faults via Network Alarms; taking decisive steps to ensure appropriate levels of response are applied for speedy fault resolution.

Shift Engineer

Working as a Shift Engineer in MHPC Sialkot 7.64 MW Marala Hydro Power Company and key responsibilities are as follows:

• Four units installed design criterion low head & high flow horizontal Kaplan turbine on run of river at UCC (Upper Chenab Canal) with individual capacity of 1.91MW

• To Monitor the Operation parameters through SCADA and maintain the required levels

• To Issue Permits for maintenance work and provide protections as needed

• To call concerned maintenance department for emergency work

• To issue trouble report for prolonged maintenance work to avoid generation loss

• To cop up emergency in case of tripping and any abnormality found during routine inspection

• Prepare DOD (Daily Operation Data) and report daily record of generation

• To Operate the Units smoothly according to hydrology and design parameters

• Hand On practice Experience to start Unit for commercial operation under normal & abnormal condition

• Stop Unit under emergency situations such as tripping of Power Transmission Lines, Over-loading of Power Transformers and Units

• Hourly basis data collection of units

• Operation of diesel Generators (200 KVA)

• Operation & Switching of (LV & HV) Switchgears

• Operation of Governor System, Fire Fighting System, Air Compressors and Cooling Water System

• Developed & Implemented SOPs for Safe Shut Down & Safe Start Trainee Engineer
