Description: Specialty Insurance Management Systems (SIMS) is a Windows Desktop based policy management system. The application is being developed to replace the existing system AIM due to Microsoft discontinuing support for key features at the end of 2022. The application consolidates 3 separate applications used by 3 separate teams (Accounting, Claims, and Underwriting). SIMS allows the company to document the full lifecycle of an insurance policy. The application provides role-based security access to data within the application using Active Directory. SIMS allows users to create documents and interface directly with MS Outlook to import and send relevant policy documentation.
This application has been delivered through Agile methodology process using Scrum through Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities:
Write, implement, and document test cases for the modules such as Underwriting, Data Maintenance, Accounting and Claims Modules that includes Users, Brokers, Company, Products Maintenance screen, Insurance Policy Quote, Submissions and Bind Process to identify bugs based on user stories provided by the Business Analysts.
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback after resolving the defects for example: underwriting module includes Policy Submissions and Quotes, Renewals etc.,
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases for each task from the business perspective.
