DRIVE LAB (Implements Scrum Framework) Aug 2021 - Present Graduate Research Assistant

- Designed, Developed and Fabricated smart glasses for blind and visually impaired individuals to aid situational awareness, navigation, object recognition and reading out texts as part of Department of Transportation(DOT) funded Inclusive Design Challenge(IDC) project.

- Utilized Google Maps Directions API to get route information and combined on-device GPS and IMU data to navigate blind users along walkable spaces. Also implemented Semantic Segmentation to classify sidewalks to keep users in a safe walkable area.

- Created Microservice for speech synthesis using Microsoft LUIS and deployed on a Human Machine Interface(built with unity) as part of NHTSA funded accessible autonomous vehicle project.

Full Stack Engineer

- Converted React application to Offline-first Progressive Web App.

- Refactored React application for state management to improve overall architecture for better user experience and scalability.

- Fixed the authentication flow of a React application using OIDC protocol.

- Optimized application’s routing flow using Hash Router to support a wider variety of nested pages (authenticated and public pages).
