PROCESS ENGINEER (2012 – 2014)

Lead six sigma project activities to identify process improvements in extrusion plants. This included reduction of fiber waste and machine downtime by changing the process settings, training, maintenance, and upgrading equipment.

Use AS400 system for data tracking of breaks, color changes, pack life, waste, and analysis in extrusion to achieve maximum efficiency. Use SQL to retrieve data for analysis. Weekly updates of extrusion equipment yields, color changes, uptimes, pack changes and overall equipment effectiveness.

Manage the yarn inventory file (Quarterback) to assure any yarn that is not first quality is processed timely. Track the age of yarn in inventory to assure processed and keep from becoming aged. Download weekly file for analysis, checking for age of yarn, what needs to be reclaimed, or sold and send file to machine schedulers/planning groups.

Identify process improvement projects and cost savings opportunities at the distribution center location.
