The project work comprises of construction, completion, and maintenance of the proposed Access Road to Al Wakrah Logistics City, which consists of a four-way dual carriageway (three-lane dual carriageway to be built now with provision for additional one-lane future expansion to each side of the carriageway) as part of the relief road. Following are the major items of work to be executed: -

Earthworks, Sub-base, Base and surfacing, center Median, Roundabouts, street lighting, signalized junctions, Electrical Road crossing ducts works for ITS, SSD, Street lights, Road Marking and signboards, surface water drainage, potable waterline/ dry leg, indoor substations/package substations, etc.

Handle two Projects, the projects QS016- Package 01 & 2 of the road falls within the 64-m corridor and ties into an upgraded roundabout at the Salwa Road dumbbell interchange at the south end and runs for 18.7kms, in a northerly direction, to a roundabout providing access to Rawdat Rashed village. En-route the road will provide junctions to access various local destinations. Also included in Package 01 is the short length of road linking the bypass to the southern end of Rawdat Rashed Village.

The road works is constructed include enlargement and slight relocation of the northern roundabout of IC 29 of Salwa International Highway dumbbell interchange. In addition, the route comprises six new roundabouts and three right in /right out junctions to access existing and/or proposed developments, farms and subdivisions.

Responsibilities:

Review prequalification of subcontractor / Materials Supplier.

Review and make a recommendation for approval of all Types of submitted materials by the contractor.

Ensure compliance of used materials with the project’s specifications.

Testing of Soil such as Sieve Analysis, Plastic, and Liquid limit. MDD and CBR. Aggregates tests like Sieve Analysis, Specific Gravity, Soundness, Loss of abrasion, Aggregate Crushing Value, Impact Value, Clay Lumps, Friable partials, Flakiness and Elongation Index and chemical tests like Sulphate and Chlorides test. Concrete testing such as Compressive strength of cubes and Cores, Durability test of concrete-like, RCP test, ISAT, Water impermeability test and Absorption test. Curbstone and paving blocks testing in the laboratory as per Project specifications and relevant BS, ASTM and AASHTO standards.

The project is situated near the World Trade Centre in Dubai and connects the West Parallel Road to the Sheikh Rashid Road.

Comprehensive Improvement of the Parallel Roads-Contract R881/2C. The project is considered as the main continued connectivity link of the West Parallel to Sheikh Rashid Road where it is consequently linked to Al Garhoud and Maktoum Bridges. All Bridges will be constructed vide segmental structure technique. A total length of 4.5 Km of segmental bridges is constructed in the project.

*Involved in Erections/launching of balance cantilever and span segments with taking more safety (HSE) precautions.

Involving in Asphalt Laying & construction supervision of all concrete works, post-tensioning, steelworks precast casting yard details, launching gantry details, precast molds. The project also includes the construction of new roads, the extension of the existing ones, the building of access ramps, vertical and horizontal signage including street lighting, and a large number of subservience to be repositioned (11 to 132 kV cables, telephone lines, internet lines, drainage, irrigation and drinking water pipes up to a diameter of 1200 mm).
