Reinstated facility name : Yanbu South Terminal (YST), Yanbu Saudi Arabia
Al Mu’ajjiz Crude Oil Terminal was a mothballed-with-crude facility since its inception by Iraqi Oil Company (IOC) in 1986. It was a without utilities type operating terminal rented on Saudi soil with Iraqi crude supply through 56” pipeline from Iraq along the E-W Pipeline passing through PS-5 & 6 under the control of Yanbu Crude Oil Terminal (YCOT) & OSPAS.
SA conducted feasibility study in 2011 and established a scenario to rehabilate and reinstate the facility with capacity enhancement from 1.6 to 3.0 MBPOD by means of Assessment, Refurbishment, Overhaul and Fitness for Service rehabilitation model. JGC Gulf International Company Ltd stayed back as a single prospective bidder for the project with Cost Reimbursable type project.
Project kick started with acquisition of archived manual drawings, specification & data sheets from the abandoned facility for digitization, up gradation and conversion to native and hybrid file for generation of a workable 3D Model.

All modification to be in accordance with current SA Standards and Specification. Installation of new pipeline from YNGLFD to KP 19 for C5+ Injection with jump overs on existing 56”, 48” & 42” pipelines in the East West corridor. Rehabilitation of the existing 42” EWMZ-1 nitrogen purged pipeline to Al Mu’ajjiz Receiving Area having five identified repair locations as per assessment report recommendations from ROSEN. Assessment and Refurbishment of existing 42”X48”Scraper Receiver with installation of Quick Lock Arrangement and Instrumentation Modernization.
Installation of an independent Waste Water Treatment Facility to handle the OWS and processing and disposal to sea 30 m deep as per mixing zone dispersion study recommendations from an US Approved agency.
Installation of a separate arrangement for the disposal of the OWS from the Crude Storage Tanks to mega size Evaporation Ponds in the KP-19 Area.
