Century Communities, Customer Relations Manager

I have been employed with Century Communities as a Customer Relations Manager since March 2022. During this time of employment, I have gained extensive knowledge about the building and post-construction process along with learning and understanding the Century Communities Homebuyers Warranty.

As a Customer Relations Manager, I am the first line of contact for the homebuyer aiding and ensuring that the homebuyer's warranty issues are properly documented and meet the specified requirement. I manage four different residential communities with over 700 residential homes. I am responsible for all homebuyer warranty concerns including the extended structural warranties provided by Century Communities.

Responsibilities Include:

Remain in compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

Responsible for resolving all customer issues with appropriate team members and trade partners, spanning Pre-Closing

Orientation through each market’s statute of limitations.

Accepts full responsibility for each Homeowner within the assigned project spanning from the close of escrow to the

Home’s statute of limitations.

Follows through on all customer issues.

Monitors and intercedes on progress and completion of all repairs by trade partners or assigned personnel.

Responsible for the presentation of a professional image.

Strongly encouraged to visit each buyer at the New Buyer Orientation (NBO) and the Pre-Drywall Orientation (PDO)

Thoroughly explains Company's Limited Warranty to each Homeowner.

Ensures the Homeowner is fully aware of the policies and procedures in requesting customer service and emergency service.

Facilitates a timely response, execution, and completion of all customer issues.

Participates in root-cause analysis of issues and sends recommendations to the immediate supervisor.

Manages trades to completion of service requests to customer satisfaction.

Performs service-related tasks as requested (adjustments and repairs).

Establishes and maintains positive internal and external customer relationships.

Determines trade accountability for back charges and POs.

Authorizes payment for work performed within approval limits.

Follows applicable legal protocol and processes necessary workflow.

Provides leadership with regular updates on escalated issues.

Reviews and supports Century's Construction Standards.

August 2016 – March 2022

DeKalb County Police Department, Master Patrol Officer

I have been employed with DeKalb County Police Department since August 2016. I completed the 6-month training academy and completed the 12-week field training providing me with the basic knowledge and skills to become a Georgia Certified Police Officer. I continued my career development by earning my Law Enforcement Intermediate Certification and my Law Enforcement Advanced Certification. I have attended the DeKalb County Field Training Officer Program to help train and provide knowledge to newly graduated officers when faced with an unfamiliar rapidly changing environment.

During my daily operations, I promptly arrive ensuring I have all the proper equipment, and conduct an inspection of my police-issued vehicle. I am then assigned by my supervisor the location I need to focus on for the reduction and prevention of crime. I am responsible for responding to emergency 911 calls, properly conducting investigations, and informing proper supervisors or detectives as needed.

When the investigation is concluded a report is written detailing the incident or crime that occurred. Within these reports I am adding detailed information about what happened, any statements that were provided, any additional information provided by a victim or a witness, and any relevant evidence observed.

October 2008 - August 2016

United States Marine Corps, Platoon Sargent

I started my Marine Corps service in October 2008. I graduated from recruit training 12 rigorous weeks later from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California. I attended Marine Combat Training learning basic knowledge of combat warfare in Camp Pendleton, California. After completing several months of training, I was then stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While stationed in Fort Leonard Wood I began to learn my Marine Corps trade as a Motor Transportation Operator. I gained the basic skills to properly maintain and operate several tactical vehicles including the Armored HMMWV and Armored MTVR 7-ton. I completed the training earning a government-issued driver's license for the operation of tactical vehicles.

I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twenty-Nine Palms, California from 2009 to 2012. I was stationed with an Artillery Battalion, 3/12 Lima Battery. During this time, I became more proficient with my skills as a Motor Transportation Operator and was crossed trained as a cannoneer assisting with Artillery training operations. I took several trade-specific specialty courses allowing me to transport explosives, tow the M777 Howitzer, and obtain several government-issued driver's license endorsements for various tactical vehicles.

I was provided the opportunity to reenlist in the United States Marine Corps, from 2012 to 2016 I was stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. I was stationed with a Combat Logistics Battalion providing logistical support for the Marine Corps Base. I was promoted to Sergeant and placed in a supervisory position. I oversaw scheduling daily operations and supervising and tasking subordinates to complete daily assignments. I would report my daily progress to my superiors and be briefed on upcoming tasks and assignments. I also would assist in the logistical planning of extensive training exercises, determining the equipment needed to support several hundred Marines, making shipping manifests for equipment, and supervising the embarkation and offloading from various Naval Vessels.
