Quality Engineer

●Work on Cascade injection molding presses.

●Responsible for Cascade 0.5-1.0 gallon tubs and 6x6 and large lids.

●Provide feedback to Process Technicians and Automation Technicians when labels aren’t placed correctly on tubs.

●Address customer complaints towards Procter and Gamble (P&G) for packaging related problems using 8D methodologies.

●Work with Quality Supervisors to inform press operators of Quality Alerts to mitigate product defects and drive down customer complaints.

●Lead sample requests for customer for trial runs on production equipment (injection molding presses).

●Developed ATP’s (Acceptance Test Procedures) for MCS (Main Cabin Seating) and PCS (Premium Cabin Seating) which required in-flight entertainment testing.

●Supported 13 production lines’ test equipment (Astronics, Panasonic, Thales, and Zodiac), cables, and test configuration files (software) to ensure conforming seats were shipped to the customer (Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier).

●Provided operator training to perform grounding and bonding testing to fulfill Boeing’s requirements.

●Coordinated all the cables and harnesses into four cabinets by performing an inventory analysis resulting in better organization to support 13 production lines.

Supplier Quality Engineer 2013-2016

●Performed audits on 14 suppliers in 2013 and 13 suppliers in 2014 resulting in an Approved Supplier List with every supplier’s status updated.

●Provided KPI’s, predicted monthly return rate (defects parts per million), root cause analysis and corrective action for lowest or underperforming five suppliers resulting in effective countermeasures towards suppliers.

●Participated in daily on-line production Material Review Board (MRB) meeting dispositioning parts for inventory control and to assign liability.

●Documented product defects/initiated corrective actions towards suppliers which caused line shutdowns. The end result was improved part quality and satisfied internal customers.

●Supported Quality Engineering Receiving Supervisor by reviewing First Article Inspection reports for the West Point facility, resulting in fully trained suppliers.

●Supported Quality Engineers (QEs) in MCS and PCS by initiating stock purges needed to support production resulting in segregated components so that defective parts were not used in production.

●Conducted a source inspection at B/E Marysville facility for front row furniture built for the Qatar program that resulted in staff being supported at the West Point facility.
