October 2020-May 2021
Program Manager
Rividium
Vienna, Virginia, United States
Supervisor: Tracy Tillery Phone: UNK
Served as a project manager for 2 USDA agencies and FRTIB. I administered the classification contract and worked with six classification specialists performing these duties. During my tenure as the project manager, I was required to submit monthly classification activities. I supervised a team of eight classifiers and was able to meet the hiring guidelines setup by Office of Personnel Management. During the months of March and April my team bought in revenues of over
$156,000, the most revenue received since I took over the function. Our team maintained an excellent rapport with the working managers. I also administered the retirement program processing of USDA at the National Finance Center in New Orleans, LA
When I took over the function, there was a shortage of retirement specialist due to a previous agency buyout at USDA. My specialists were overwhelmed with the workload and had no guidance due to the retirements. In December 2020, there was a backlog of 125 pending retirements. I worked with the specialists by providing virtual training and Standard Operating Procedures to help them complete the backlog and become successful. One of my retirement specialists was placed on Performance Improvement Letter and with my coaching and mentoring her performance improved and the letter was rescinded on April 26, 2021. As a result of my involvement and dedication to my staff, the December backlog was completed in March and stayed current. I reviewed every retirement to ensure there was a timely response. I was termination from this position on May 7, 2021, due to a disagreement over my contractor whose performance improved, the HR manager wanted her terminated but in all good conscience I could not because her performance had improved.
