Major Projects

Project Management Office – Fidelity National Financial

Conceptualized, developed, created and maintained SharePoint site for all software projects, including, but not limited to creating links, tables, and libraries.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs – JEA

As project manager, I exceeded the company’s goal of completing 40 projects in 1 year, by completing 73 projects all under budget. Because of my project management and process improvement skills, I was able to show a hard-dollar savings of $216,083.00 in one year a grand total savings of $657,862.00 over a 4-year period. Also, because of my process improvements, the average cost of the projects dropped from an average of $25,000.00 per project to just over $12,000.00 per project.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

I conceptualized, developed and implemented a time saving method for over 300 employees and multiple contracts. I redesigned the invoicing process saving over 15 hours a week. This also ensured the accuracy and maintained the integrity of the data.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA and CSX

I initiated contract/vendor audits via Excel, Oracle and Access. This process improvement method allowed me to discover several hundreds of thousands of dollars in over-billings, which were since recouped or credit back to the company.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

I also took on the responsibility of participating in a program working with Duval County School Board. I took high school children to sites and allowed them to clean up those sites on Saturday’s for them to gain community work credits for their schools. This effort not only enabled the students to earn community service credits, this also eliminated several thousands of dollars in costs from landscape contractors as they did not have to remove debris from the sites as often as the students were doing this on Saturdays.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

I was commended by Risk Management for doing an outstanding job supporting Risk

Management on FEMA cost reimbursement. This was a very laborious and detailed task. Upon

completion of a reimbursable project, I reviewed costs for reconciliation of billed amounts including verification of costs, posting of costs to the correct JEA accounts and preparation of corrective request for discrepancies and preparation of final cost project reports. Due to my due diligence, JEA was reimbursed by FEMA over 90%.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

I discovered another opportunity for process improvement. There was no process in place to forecast or track spending. I conceptualized, developed and initiated and implemented a process that enabled the department to track and forecast spending in supplies and materials as well as services.

So you have a better understanding of the volume: in 2012 alone, I received, reviewed, documented, audited and processed over 3,512 invoices. None were paid late. I created 345 requisitions, of which 240 were Purchase Orders. I processed in excess of 2,986 p-card distributions for ~60 employees, over 5 cost centers. I maintained, monitored and tracked over 301 vendors/suppliers.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

I developed, tested and initiated new Landscape Maintenance tracking method for over 2,000 JEA

facilities across Duval, Clay, St Johns and Nassau County. This new method helped keep better track of

mowing schedules, Inspections auditing sites and allowing negligible billing errors. Due to this initiative,

JEA was able to recoup several thousand dollars in over-billing.

Process Improvements/Financial Modeling. Decrease Support Costs, ROI – JEA

As budget Analyst, I conceptualized and initiated a process in which I was able to thoroughly manage all invoices, tracking, documentation and auditing of all contracts. This effort proved to be an effective method to maintain continuity in the control of the entire invoicing processes. This undertaking has proven successful as I was able to pinpoint every transaction, albeit POs, p-cards or checks. I was also able to forecast for budget planning and validate contract invoicing violations.
