I am Azeema Jamil have been working in AKU Laboratory since 1994. Currently I am working as Section in-charge of Biochemical Genetic Lab (BGL). I have developed all tests included in biochemical genetic lab to diagnose inborn error of metabolism and newborn screening. Dealing with all administrative and Quality Assurance issues of the section. Participated in national and international Conferences. I am the Core Committee member of Quality Assurance Committee, Section administrative committee, Newborn Screening Advocacy Committee, Pak IMD- Network, SSIEM and
BGL -Departmental Consultation Group (DCC) and manage daily DCC record. During my job turnover till date, I assigned following responsibilities as per department need.
• In-Charge of Drugs Section. (1996 -2000)
• In-Charge of Receiving and processing Section. (2001-2004 /2008-2011)
• Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator. (2011 – 2018)
• Capital and non-capital equipment Coordinator. (2011 – 2019) Responsible for maintaining Quality Control (QC) for BGL section, maintaining proficiency testing analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and review reports ERNDIM, CDC-Survey, and CAP.
Lab-Accreditation:
As a member of Quality Assurance Committee and section in-charge of BGL, I have been involved in lab accreditation activities and in audit of JCIA, ISO and CAP. Develop Competency form for Clinical laboratory as per CAP-Guideline.
