Over 20 years of gardening, cultivating and design with New England plants. Started as a teenager tending herb, rose and edible gardens for world rebounded Herbalist Adele’s Grenier Simmons where I worked at her homestead for 7 years in CT. I then worked at a small garden center in Storrs CT where I tended shop with watering, seeding, making seasonal planters and taking private clients tending to their gardens while they vacationed. I was then offered a job the become the Production Supervisor at Harts Growing Facility in Canterbury CT where I was in charge of seasonal crew on planting line. We did bedding plants, poinsettias and mums. I also had my pesticide license and did evening sprays. From there I was offered a position at Canterbury Horticulture to run their perennial and woody shrub production crew. Learned about trimming Rhododendrons and shaping Conifers. I then became the Head Designer for Ace Begonias in Bethany CT where we re-wholesaled foliage plants. I created a begonia propagating crew, a shipping crew and a production crew. I was in charge of new hires and we created a cooperative system for keeping track of production by systematically implementing employees strengths. I created large high- end Begonia and Fern planters and Orchid and foliage planters for Long Island shops. I currently design planters for local businesses in Sturbridge MA.
