Since 1991 I have edited a Christian magazine in Spanish. For the first 7 years in printed form, and for the last three years by publishing the articles in my website: http://www.apologia.net (now www.ibvictoria.org). When published in printed form, it reached almost every Spanish speaking coun- try. Now on the web, the articles are probably read all over the world where Spanish is spoken. Articles written by me came from the research from many sources, a lot of them in English, which had to be translated, condensed, or otherwise, assimilated and put into Spanish. 1990-1990 Assistant to the pastor, Berea Baptist Church Helped a missionary plant a new church (Monte Ararat Baptist Mission). Proofread articles for a Christian paper with the same name (La Espada). Also helped with the computer to maintain the subscriptions list and in the circulation department. A lot of translation and desktop design was in- volved in that job.

I taught at the Bible institute while interim pastoring the church in the ab- sence of the director of the institute and pastor of the church. A lot of translation of books and teaching material was done during that time. 1986-1988 Spanish Pastor, First Baptist Church; Santa Maria, CA Began and pastured the Spanish ministry of this church. A lot of simultane- ous interpretation was performed while there.

1986. Part Time Assistant Pastor in churches in Illinois while attending Seminary in Wisconsin. I assisted in the bilingual Hispanic-American Baptist Church in Rockford, IL, and part-time pastored the Spanish Department of Calvary Baptist Church in Belvidere, IL. A lot of bilingual work was involved in it, simultaneous interpretation included.

PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYMENT (NON-MINISTERIAL)

2005-Present Spanish Court Interpreter/translator. Spanish Interpreter/translator in the court system in North Carolina. Assisting Non-English speakers communicate in court proceedings as well as with lawyer interviews in preparing for trials.

2021-Present Medical Interpretation for LenguageLine Access. 2016-Present President and professor at Seminario Bautista en Línea (www.sebel.org). Non-compensated position.

2007-2009 Bilingual Instructor. Teaching the Defensive Driver Course in either English or Spanish. Part-time position at the National Safety Council in Charlotte, NC

2000-Present Freelance translator/interpreter. Performing part time translation and in- terpreting in courts, hospitals, online ministries, individuals, and the needs of our own church. I have provided with Spanish courses to small groups interested in learning Spanish.
