JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist in the identification of environmental health and safety issues, deficiencies, risk and hazards by periodically inspection in the workplace/project site and ensure it was resolved. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and Implement Company HSE Policy, HSE management system requirement, organizational mission and ensuring construction projects are delivered safely on schedule.

To comply with and advise the company to comply with all laws, rule and regulations and any other related regulations of the Authority (including any local or federal UAE laws as applicable.

To advise the company as to the measures to be taken in the interests of safety and health of persons employed at the worksite and together with the company, implement such measures, enforce safety guidelines and implement the Health, Safety and Environment Plan.

To regularly evaluate various risk, potential hazards, hazardous conditions and hazardous exposure related to construction stages, perform Risk Assessments for the same and provide the report and recommendations for the correction and prevention to the company.

Arrange for Occupational Health and Safety testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants as maybe necessary.

Facilitate training to all staff, ensuring that no employees were exposed to any hazardous substances/environments without suitable and sufficient controls/protection being in place.

Scrutinize operations on sites with regard to safety systems of work including protective equipment’s

& sub-contractors.

Ensure that all hazards are identified and all preventive and mitigation measures are taken.

Make certain that all statutory documents are correctly maintained at all times & made available to the Company at all times & their parties on request.

Investigate the case of NEAR MISSES and recommend the corrective measures.

Monitor strict compliance of “WORK PERMIT’’ system at work site.

Prepares and enters all data related to accidents, causes and cost (injury, medical, lost time and property damage.

Supervises and assesses the periodic maintenance, testing and repair of all firefighting, safety and emergency equipment’s, and fire detection and alarm systems.

Liaison closely with Contractors in developing & informing of updated HSE related trainings (Toolbox talks, Induction trainings, Drill exercise & Specific trainings).

Take initiative to prevent major incidents by implementing proactive safety observation procedures and precautions prevalent with the latest in construction industry.
