I have assisted my family members who has HIV/AIDS and yet I had to attend my last year of university. I was a core for the family because there was progress with my aunt as years went by and she came to accept the fact that she was HIV positive and could live longer than she anticipated. My grandma has dementia and at times a difficult person to be around but I have learned to be a good listener and understand what he feels and have empathy as well as relate that though she is of age, her choices matter and she can still be part of decision making for her life choices.
