Academic Program Review Specialist, unm office of Assessment & APR
Streamlined many components of the university academic program review process that leads to an increase of quality of work from program leadership undergoing a review
Manage cross-departmental teams to improve institutional services that lead to greater inform decisions of leadership backed by data my team puts together
Each year I successfully guide 32-35 programs undergoing a review at different stages of the year and half process following a 7-year cycle
Compile, analyze, interpret, and create visuals to prepare reports, presentations, and trainings/workshops to a ray of audiences and stakeholders both internal & external
Utilize stakeholder feedback and routinely research similar programs for continuous quality improvements of our office’s policies, manual, processes, and communications
Maintain office website, repository (database for documentation of records), newsletters, and other public and private information – as well as create/edit content, visuals, aesthetics, links, records/attachments
Oversee office budget, Pcard holder, handle travel/conference affairs, process reimbursements and payments
Assist office in university-wide assessment activities – providing annual feedback to departments on assessment plans and reports (250 plus reviews)
Facilitate settings for strategic planning and decision making by coordinating and participating in meetings with institutional/college leadership and academic units

Review 10-20 budgets weekly for correct calculations, compliance, restrictions, and matching narratives ranging from $2k-$99M
Primary contact with sub-recipients to gather and review subaward proposal packages, anywhere from 1 to several subawards on a given proposal with various budgets including other educational institutions, nonprofits, governmental, and private-industry partners
Tracked F&A splits with UNM HSC campus recovering tens of thousands of dollars of unshared fees
Create & present to the Research Administration Network for over 40 participants quarterly

Assisted in the development of a Grief Services Project ECHO – curriculum building & case presentations leading to increased specialized knowledge of our mental health provider network
Co-developed/coordinated the first OMI Staff Wellness Program, and provided various activities/knowledge/social engagements that targeted vicarious trauma, burn out, and morale to 80 in-house employees (6-12 activities/events annually for $1200) including donation raffles
Drafted Grief Services procedures, standards, and expectations of new hires/interns
Maintained a network of statewide grief community resources including connections with law enforcement, DA’s offices, funeral homes, crime victim services, children services, mental health providers, and public schools
Monitored and projected current program expenditures, allocated transactions of purchases, travels, reimbursements, and invoices
Contract requisitions and PO procurement on a rolling basis due to restricted funding
Presented annual “Open House” event and others to the public (50-100 individuals)
Facilitated orientations and on-going trainings to 10 interns and 20+ contractors (in person and virtual)
2019 Created OMI agency FAQs brochure and assisted in enhancing OMI website to provide the public with information on the medical investigation process
Personally served 100+ (annually) families/individuals through advocacy, VOCA applications, other resources, and scheduling therapeutic services

Identified suspects regularly through surveillance leading to several arrests a year
Rendered first aid and responded to crises such as medical emergencies, belligerent individuals, domestic violence, theft, vehicle accidents, harassment, misconduct, temporary missing persons, homelessness and episodes of individuals experiencing a mental illness (CPR certified)
Engaged in mediation, conflict resolution, crisis interventions and de-escalation tactics
Completed 100’s of thorough incident reports, testified in court, that lead to the reduction of repeat offenders on property
Log security transactions, monitoring/operating 100s of surveillance cameras, video tracking of incidents and suspicious activities

2013 - Designed Mobil Command Manual for Sandia Security Dispatch Department in the event of an emergency relocation
