Key Accomplishments:

Identified and mitigated various obstacles threatening successful deployment of high-profile projects.

ouniform status reporting system, assuring that similar information on all projects was presented in a consistent and easy to understand manner.

Replacement and restructuring the existing Identity Management System (IDM)

Project involved an expansion and updating of the existing system to allow a much larger user base (from 3,000 to approximately 80,000 users). Involved in vendor selection and managing the actual activities (both in-house and vendor) to replace the existing identity management system. Worked with the vendor to define/deploy a new system that provided Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities utilizing the IBM security Suite of products. Despite many challenges, the project was successfully completed with great customer satisfaction.

Early ID of Prospective Educators

The state identified a need to track what colleges were providing the most effective educators. Asked by CIO to take on this additional project that was behind schedule and over budget. Identified and rectified main reason for delay. Recast and manage a realistic aggressive schedule to meet the user needs and get the project back on track.

Oracle Exadata installation

This was a multimillion-dollar hardware/software implementation, to support extensive data warehousing initiatives. The new system served as the hardware foundation for future strategic efforts.
