BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM TECHNICIAN

Monitor the Metasys Building Automation System (BAS) which controls all facility infrastructure systems for the 400-bed facility, emergency center, and the clinical care facilities, all of which care for 80,000 patients per year.

Monitor and assess any out-of-range readings for:

oOR & Isolation room temperature, humidity, and negative pressure

oAir handlers, chill water systems, and steam systems

oMedical air (oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide), and medical vacuum

oGenerator annunciator

Assign workorders to onsite technicians to:

oResolve any out-of-range alarms from the Metasys control system

oHandle staff generated maintenance requests

oManage emergency work created via phone calls to the control center

oMonitor all workorders to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion

Liaison between the hospital personnel, contractors and engineering management which includes issuing and revoking permits to all external workers allowing entry to the hospital

University Dorms, University Housing, University Hotel residential units – Goodman 1.5 ton up to & including Goodman 5 ton units

oRepaired split units – replaced contactors, condenser fan motors, hard start kits, capacitors, and compressors on the condenser unit.
