EXPERIENCE

June-August **** - One Summer Chicago: Assisted young

people in grades 5th and 6th with improving their reading and language arts skills along with providing information and resources to help them in being engaged in positive activities. I coordinated field trips to many of the city’s historical and interesting places that they thoroughly enjoyed.

June-August 2017– Afterschool Matters; Teen Tech YMCA: After being trained on how to create and to produce commercials for a variety of companies. I was then given the opportunity to develop commercials using young people on how they can make their lives better by getting their education, making good choices and taking advantage of many great opportunities. August 2017-May 2018 – Afterschool Matters; Theater Tech and Design- I was trained on how to develop and build theater sets. After the training, I was in charge of managing “the behind the scene” job such as, setting up the lights, adjusting the microphones and the props for the stage. I was responsible as the stage manager for a play that was performed at Dyett High School.

June 2018- Mikva Challenge: I am a member of the Mayoral Youth Commission which is a part of the Mayor’s Office and CPS. Our mission is to help to design programs for the Learn, Plan and Succeed policy for students who will graduate in 2020. January2019-May2019- Potbelly’s; I was an associate and assisted with making sandwiches and assisting customers with whatever they needed to complete their meals.

June 2018-2019- Chicago Park District; I was a recreational leader for Ellis Park District where I made sure groups of children from different ages were safe and enjoyed their summer while playing games and going on field trips. August-February 2020- Whitman College Student Security Guard. I was responsible for making sure all the students were 2

safe and escorting them to their dorms and made sure dorms and classrooms were securely locked.

February-March 2020- Macys employee temporary associate. January 2020 - October 2022- A Beautiful Mind- Intake Specialist- Responsible for making sure clients receive services such as counseling, therapy, and community support. Worked with many different insurance companies to ensure clients were being billed for services.

Accomplishments

Currently enrolled at Whitman College where I am taking classes in child development and psychology to be a doctor or psychologists.

I graduated from the University of Chicago Charter Woodlawn Highschool with a rank of top 5% of my class and on the honor roll taking AP classes ending with a 4.50 GPA

While in high school I was one of the representatives and spokesperson for the Mikva Challenge where I spoke to the media and other organizations to help the public to become more aware of the program’s mission and objectives. While in high school I participated in the Law School of Seminar, studying, student’s constitutional rights and working with others students in Math circles groups and at the University of Chicago. 3
