II.ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND INSTRUMENTATION

Techniques Extensive experience in different areas of clinical chemistry and toxicology. Expertise in routine chemistry, special chemistry including immunoasays, polymerase chain reaction, proteomics, flow cytometry, imaging techniques, assays of neurotransmitters and their metabolites employing high pressure liquid chromatography, metal analysis, STAT laboratory operations and urine analysis.

Quality control program. Methodology including evaluation and introduction of new procedures for the clinical laboratory.

Instrumentation Operation and maintenance of various laboratory instruments including Technicon RA XT autoanalyzer system, scintillation counters, gamma counters, blood gas analyzers, electrolyte analyzers and immunochemistry analyzers, HPLC systems, atomic absorption spectrophotometer and ultracentrifugation. Familiarization with mass spectrometry and proteomics.
