The Company manufactures aircraft structural components in metal and advanced carbon fiber materials.
Approximately 150 employees.
Consultant for Project Management for the development of a new civil aircraft ( new ATR42 ) movable surfaces in carbon fiber. In addition I managed, as Technical Director, the specialists of HELITEC in Gallarate, design office belonging to the same group of GSE.

-Planning and control of the program activities with the commitment to fulfill technical requirements, delivery times and costs.

New Products Director for Design, Industrializzation, Pre-seres manufacturing and Quality Control in the Brasilian branch

Achievements and responsibilities
Project management for orders development.
-Planning and progress status for all the orders acquired by the Brazilian branch of the Company to identify possible deviations and to identify the necessary steering actions.
-Design, Product innovation and Idustrialization. The activity was done using advanced CAD tools performing executive design for the mechanical, structural parts for the colored thermoplastc interiors finishing and for the installation of electro mechanical components. I have fully redefined the design department organization where we completed three new models of cabs.
-Development and manufacturing of prototypes till the completion of P.P.A.P. procedure. I organized and managed a special manufacturing unit dedicated to the
first prototype assembly activities.
-Pre-series manufacturing with important volumes and the related logistics. I did ”Make or Buy“ analyses . I prepared the feasibility plan for the transition to a new painting process for protective coating based on “anaforesis” technology.
-I implemented the planning and progress status control of activities using modern Program Management criteria.
Production engineering.
Procurement including supplier search in Brazil and Argentina
Quality Control in ISO 9000/QS900 environment. I managed an internal process for quality improvement with 6Sigma methodology. I implemented some lean manufacturing modification in the manufacturing line. I managed the non conformities negotiations with the customers.

1989 – 1993 Deputy Technical Director for EFA program ( European Fighter Aircraft )

-Project management for order development and prototype production ( the order consisted of the production of Flying prototypes of 20% of the whole aircraft). I managed the design, the manufacturing and the certification of the components committed to AERMACCHI. I worked to the preparation of the supply offer for other aircraft subsystems design.
-Design management adopting “Concurrent Engineering” methods and using advanced CAD-CAE systems ( CATIA, NASTRA, PATRAN ). The design was based upon the usage of advanced materials like aluminum alloys, carbon and kevlar fibers titanium alloys.
-Budget preparation for the design unit and subsequent monitoring of deviations.
- “Make or buy “ analyses for design activities and management of design activities carried out by external engineering offices.
-Management of technical relationships with the partners of EFA consortium ( BAE, CASA, FOKKER…)
-Program management for the complete certification of an innovative application in some item manufacturing of the electron beam welding process.
