In my role, I supervised the activities of Operations and Maintenance Technicians engaged in the maintenance and repair of this simple cycle operation. The plant has two Siemens 501D5A combustion turbines with Siemens Westinghouse generators. I worked with Plant employees and corporate support teams to ensure that the plant was operated in compliance with applicable safety, environmental, NERC, power generation, and contractual obligations. I also worked with corporate finance and management teams to develop projects and work within our annual O & M and Capital budgets. This included outage planning and execution.
January 2016 to June 2017 St. Charles Energy Center Maintenance Manager
This is a 2 x 1 combined cycle facility that went commercial in February of 2017. My duties included, hiring and training staff for the operations and maintenance departments, creating a preventive maintenance database, worked with plant staff to keep plant equipment working properly, and purchase and install pallet racks and shelves to stock our warehouse with the parts needed to keep plant down time at a minimum. I worked with the local management team and corporate support teams to develop projects and work within our annual O&M and Capital budgets. The last few months of this job, I was the Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and acting Plant Manager.

In this role I was responsible for the safe, reliable, compliant, efficient day to day operations and maintenance activities of our 2 X 1 combined cycle power generation plant. This includes a wide range of supervisory and administrative activities. A very important part of this job was to develop and improve the knowledge and skills necessary for our operators to perform their assigned job functions. This assures that the plant is operated in compliance with applicable safety, environmental, power generation and contractual requirements.
