Duties and Responsibilities:
Performed in process inspection non-coded static equipment such as large columns, towers, reactors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, furnace, storage tanks, piping, silos, ducts & stacks, structural steel in accordance with international Industry codes and standards.
Performed review of material test certificates and material traceability check, dimensional inspection check, conducted visual inspection and witnessed pressure testing such as pneumatic and hydrostatic tests. Have also prepared documentation of various reports and final QC dossier. Responsible for the quality control and quality assurance of the project especially in the field of dimensional, inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tube bundles, air coolers, storage tanks, etc.
Review drawings base on the latest revision, inspection sequence plans, acceptance criteria in each project involved, to ensure that the items are produced in conformance with quality standards, procedures, specifications, codes and customers requirement.
Prepare job inspection checklist specification, and quality control documents.
Conduct surveillance inspection particularly in the fabrication and erection stages, such as Lay-Out and cutting, Fit-Up and Assembly.
Conduct Final Dimensional and Visual Inspection, Pneumatic testing, Hydro-testing, Thickness gauging etc. Witnessed by the client.
Conduct material receiving inspection and do relevant testing, verify stamp transfer and material traceability.
Conduct relevant NDT on completed welds, Visual Examination, Liquid Penetrant testing
(PT), Magnetic particle test (MT) and assist UT and RT technicians in conducting these NDT methods as per projects requirements.
Report all quality related problems encountered fabrication recommend repair procedures, prepare NCR & technical reports and As-Built dossiers of projects being handled. Major Projects Handled:
