I was responsible for locating and moving shipping containers, 20', 40', 45', and trailers up to 53' to and from warehouse so the warehouse staff could unload and load the units in preparation for transport to locations throughout the United States. I was also certified to operate forklifts as needed. Radios were used by all of the Hostler drivers to coordinate scheduled moves throughout the yard.

Responsibilities included operating forklifts, overhead radio controlled cranes, processing
steel parts as they came off the cutting tables to remove slag and burrs. duties also included
operating a fifty ton hydraulic press to flatten steel parts up to one and a half inches thick.
Radios were also used for communication at this facility.
