Work directly with the Executive Housekeeper and all hotel
departments to ensure up to date room status and availability and
that all rooms are clean and in working order. Make myself
approachable and available for any questions or concerns from the
faculty. Order, stock, and keep an accurate continuous inventory of
staff and guest supplies. Complete open, lunch, and close reports
each day and deliver to the appropriate staff member. Assign
rooms and hand out keys to employees every morning and
document key return. Check rooms each day to make sure they are
properly cleaned and in working order. Detail clean during idle
time. Fill in wherever I am needed when the department is shorthanded. Use problem-solving skills to handle any
guest issues or complaints in a calm, respectful, and professional manner and reach a solution and report to
upper management.
Supervisor of Front Desk Duties: Greet every guest that comes
through the door whether they are checking in or are already in
the house. Make each guest feel welcomed and important.
Promptly check guests in on ONQ or other front desk software.
Always verify Identification and credit card and make sure there is
a credit card on file. Make sure the type of room and price are
correct as quoted when the room was reserved. Make sure all
guest accommodations are met after viewing the CRM report. Be
approachable to the guest to answer any questions they may have
and answer promptly and with the correct hotel policy. Throughout
the shift, maintain accurately and up to date paperwork including
guest list and room status. Stay in close contact with housekeeping
and maintenance departments. Input reservations and properly
handle cancellations according to the hotel policy. Oversee, train
and coach 7 to 10 employees and answer any questions they may
have and work through any concerns or issues that may arise.
Handle any guest concerns or complaints in a respectful,
professional, and understanding manner all while staying calm
which in turn keeps the guest calm and keeps the situation from
escalating. Let the guest know that their concern is legitimate and
you are doing everything you can to reach a solution and fix the
problem.
