MUSC Health – Midlands Division Columbia, Camden and Winnsboro, SC Regional HR Director August 2021 – Present

MUSC Health acquired Providence Health in August 2021. My role as VP HR transitioned to MUSC Health for Columbia, SC. As of March 2022, I was promoted into the Regional HR Director role for the midlands division to include Columbia Medical Center – Downtown, Northeast, Kershaw Medical Center and the Fairfield Freestanding ER. This division role has oversight of approximately 2,000 care team members and reports directly to the Division CEO. Supervision of twenty staff members in the HR team to include employee health and volunteer services.

Successfully moved the HR/ Employee health and volunteer services through acquisition

Re-organized the division HR/Employee health team to meet the needs of the organization to include hiring a full time RN recruiter to fill vacancies and open bed availability

Vice President, Human Resources August 2017 – August 2021 Oversee the Human Resources function. Providence Health serves urban Columbia market with a 250- bed acute care cardiac hospital, suburban northeast Columbia market with a 75-bed community based hospital and a rural Free Standing Emergency Room in Fairfield County along with an employed provider group of physicians and advance practice professionals. This position has oversight of approximately 1,500 employees and reports directly to the Market CEO. Safety and Quality are a priority of the culture of the organization as well as the hiring and retention of qualified staff. Supervision of six staff members in the Human Resources team, two employee health nurses and one volunteer coordinator.

Director of Human Resources June 2015 – July 2017

Oversee the Talent Management sector within Human Resources. Collier County Public School District serves 52 schools, 42,000 students, and 7,000 employees within four cities; Naples, Immokalee, Everglades City, and Marco Island. The District is a union environment with three different collective bargaining agreements. Diversity is a priority of the culture of the organization as well as finding highly qualified staff to fill each vacancy. Supervise 13 staff members in the Talent Management team.

Developed and organized team from scratch, implementing a “grow your own” program to provide a career pathway for non-instructional employees to become certified teachers. The first series included sixty employees over a four month period. The program is designed to create a pipeline of talent for the teaching shortage in Collier County.

Implemented an electronic applicant tracking system to support the hiring of 52 schools and the operations units such as Transportation, Nutrition Services, Maintenance and the District Office.

Implemented operational changes in the screening and certification of staff members due to legislative changes within Florida and the U.S. Department of Education. Physicians Regional Medical Center – Collier Blvd., Naples, FL Director of Human Resources March 2008 – April 2015 Oversaw delivery of Human Resource function within a 100 bed acute care facility with seasonal staffing considerations. Responsible for compliance with FL Department of Health and AHCA surveys related to approximately 500 employee and contractor files. Supervised 2 full time HR partners as direct reports.

Closed two business units to include the Women’s Center and Business Office. Displaced workers due to unit closing and supported involuntary separations through transfers, communication plans and outplacement services.

Supported operations during the acquisition phase of Health Management Associates by Community Health Partners. Implemented new policies, benefits and corporate programs.

Held position as HR Generalist (2008-2010), HR Manager (2010-2012), and HR Director (2012- 2015) within the Department of Human Resources.
