These arbitration issues included discipline and terminations, layoffs and assignments, promotion issues and working conditions.

Every arbitration matter during my tenure was resolved on college campus, or on occasion, by an intervention of NYSUT’s (New York State Union of Teachers) legal department at my invitation. None of these cases were ever referred to the New York State Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) or civil court for settlement.
