Immediately after it is pulled out Check general condition of the tube bundle and tube sheet for any types of mechanical damage, distortion, deposits and abnormalities or fouling. Collect sample of the deposit / corrosion products for laboratory analysis.

Inspect shell for internal corrosion, particularly the bottom side area where corrosive products can accumulate and baffle plates-shell contact area etc.

Inspect the tube-sheet face and TTS joints for signs of corrosion erosion or pitting. Apply suitable NDT technique as applicable.

Overall NDT inspection activities prior, before and after the welding.
