PROFILE
My Name is Byron Luikart. I am well-rounded SR Superintendent-Site Manager. Having worked on significant sized projects in Kansas City, and as a remote site manager performing key military work in many locations in the United States, I am adept at overcoming logistics and other hurdles to accomplish successful project completion. As part of my roles throughout my career, I have been responsible for the entire project start to finish, from safety to schedule, budget, customer satisfaction and QA/QC.
I always start each day with the same core values, Safety, Integrity, Making good decisions and Production. I am always mindful of the perceptions of our subcontractors, our clients, coworkers, and my leadership team. One quote from a former Project Manager has stuck with me through out my career.

Working for a contractor with a long history of Government work. My duties would include but not be limited to:
Site Safety Officer. After performing a job safety survey, I start by going over each and every potential safety concern then personally addressing each item. Once construction has commenced I make multiple daily safety inspections and take immediate corrective actions as required by company and government statutes. I am also QC manger with certification from the Corps of Engineers. This includes performing QA and QC assessments on all work (new or on-going). As the senior superintendent and Site Manager, I am responsible for all activities under my judication including initial to completion schedule forecasting, daily and weekly schedule updates. Conducting weekly site meetings with both clients, designers, vendors and subcontractors. Completion of all projects from cradle to grave.
Also included in my purvey are negotiating labor and material procurements, assisting my PM in cost projections and building client and trade partner relationships. My tenure at Life Cycle has been a 100 percent remote traveling role. I have built limited to full scope projects ranging from $4MIL – $28MIL EDUCATION

This is my longest tenured job in the work force. I worked for this company for twenty years. My key role at Intec was structural concrete superintendent for some of Kansas City’s better-known projects.
Largest customers; Chiefs and Royal stadiums, City of KCMO, Kansas City Parks Department, SPRINT Campus, Cerner South Campus, Leavenworth VA Expansion and Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway to name a few. My role has always been Safety first. Scheduling and coordination of procurement, materials, supplies, sub trades, self-performance crews and overview of managing the workload assigned to us.
After completing my tenure at Intec, I was a well prepared and seasoned veteran in the construction field.

As a holder of numerous certifications, I am proud of the knowledge they have provided me.
There is more than to it than just having these certifications. Each one was lessons learned and an understanding how better manage the day to day responsibilities of my chosen field. How to better utilize resources afforded to me. How to be independent but now a cowboy. How to understand the degree of severity of any given situation and how to have a positive impact. How to save and reuse materials and supplies. Your certs help you day to day.
I am a high-volume stand-alone or self-starting Superintendent that thrives in the most pressured jobs imaginable. I live by the Buck stops here. I am a take charge, hands on kind of guy.
