Looking to secure permanent full time employment. A Monday through Friday day shift position.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Very well educated, literate, able to type, use MS Word and Excel. I am dependable, dedicated and very discreet. I am very experienced in mechanical and electrical operations. I have customer service experience and the ability to perform detailed operations. I have experience in various crafts and have operated my own service and sales business. I have extensive wood working abilities and I am willing to work hard as needed. I am very knowledgeable of vehicle services and can answer any customer’s questions as to their service or repair needs.

EXPERIENCE

Went through the 5 year apprentice program in Local 3 IBEW and worked as a journeyman electrician for 11 years. I began in 1968 and left in 1979 to advance to a better career.

Oct 1979 I began work at the Anheuser Busch Brewery in Williamsburg VA. I remained at that position until Feb 2006. My responsibilities were electrical and mechanical maintenance of packaging machines. During the last 5 years on the job I learned their SAP computer system and became an instructor and worked on refining their system,then I was tasked with setting up an electronic library of machine manuals accessed by equipment numbers. I was also responsible for purchasing parts for the machines and scheduling man hours for job assignments.

During my tenure at the Brewery, I started a musical instrument repair business as a side job and after retiring from the Brewery I opened a full service Music Store selling instruments and supplies and doing a full range of instrument repairs.

For several years prior to the music business my Wife and I made and sold assorted crafts at local craft fairs

2007 through 2012 Worked as a Building Inspector for King William County, VA. The duties included inspecting new construction projects and renovations. I was certified in Building Inspections, Electrical Inspections, Plumbing Inspections and HVAC Inspections.

2023

Working at the new Home Goods store in Lynchburg. Unloading tractor trailers every day which is getting a bit troublesome and the hours are not sufficient

EDUCATION:

I graduated from Nazareth HS, Brooklyn, NY with honors in 1967

I attended Baruch College of the City University of NY for one year studying business/

In 1968 I entered the IBEW Apprentice program, graduated and became a Journeyman Electrician

COMMUNICATION

Over the years, I have interacted with numerous Music Teachers in my music business and at the Brewery, I interacted with various sales and technical representatives
