DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS PIPING ENGINEER

Review of project specification and P & ID’s.

Handling all piping technical queries and resolves all field pipes work related problems, including the drawings of field sketches when necessary.

Coordinating with Engineering and Construction and liaise with Contractor on detail engineering requirements.

Develop Construction Engineering Technology in line with Company Policy and Procedures.

Elaborates construction feasibility analysis evaluating the available material and drawings.

Raising (FWR) Field Warehouse Request for all materials required at site based on the progress of work.

Responsible for piping erection and pipe support installation based on the priority and availability of construction drawings and materials.

Ensure the productivity and quality is maintained by subordinates. Coordinate with other disciplines in site.

Monitor and verify the daily progress report.

Attend daily construction meetings at site to convey the management targets.

Assist Engineering department to solving piping modification and technical problems in field.

Preparation of construction Method Statement & risk factors analysis (MS &JSA) associated with the job.

Based on the ITP (Inspection Test Plan) raise the RFI (Request for Inspection) as required on site.

Check the packing list by Vendor prior to delivery of Vendor materials.

Preparation of “AS BUILT” drawings.

Identification of loop for U/G lines for the final leak test, after the erection of riser spools.

Support in the preparation of test packages based on piping system, including system limit on P & ID and piping isometrics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS PIPELINE ENGINEER

Preparation of construction method statements, procedures and risk assessment for concern activities.

Coordinating with Contractor Engineers regarding daily progress and issues at site.

Coordinating qualifications with QC department for Welding, Welders, Bending, Coating and Wrapping.

Issuing the permits & attending daily toolbox on site.

Attending weekly progress meetings.

Solve and correct the Audit findings.

Coordinated successful bending qualification for 90 bend on 3” pipe and 45 bend on 6” pipe, since bending angle exceeds the project specification limit.

Successful completion of 24” pipelines plant approach.
