English- I was born into a full english speaking household therefore I am able to fully comprehend the english language and am able to fluently speak, read and write in english with limited difficulty.

French- I was put into a french immersion school (St. Joseph C.E.S Bowmanville) and am currently still pursuing french immersion in high school. I started french immersion in junior kindergarten therefore I have extensive knowledge on how to speak, read and write in french. I am confident with my ability to speak to any customer/ staff member that has any needs in the french language.

Prior work experience

Brimacombe guest services employee

As a Brimacombe guest services employee, you are given multiple different jobs to do in one category. For example, one day you could work as a cashier, and another day you could work on lobby cleaning around the building. This job has built many different skills for me including my people skills, the ability to be a cashier, and the ability to maintain a facility with proper care.

Experience & Volunteering

-Hockey Training

I have helped multiple times with U7 and U6 hockey training . I have helped coach multiple practices at the Orono arena with the coach of the team. In doing this, it has taught how to look after young children in moderately dangerous areas ( ice hockey with sharp skates). I have also helped the coach draw up drills for the kids to demonstrate, therefore showing my ability to be creative by thinking of new drills.

-Volunteering at Jack Astor’s with my hockey team

During the Hockey season 2 years ago I got the privilege to volunteer at Jack Astor’s with my hockey team. This volunteering shows my ability to be flexible by taking time out of my day to volunteer. It also shows my people skills as I was acting as a waiter for the night.

-Taking wood shop in grade 9

Last year I was able to take woodshop as a class. During the woodshop class, I learned the importance of being careful around dangerous machinery and to be responsible for my actions. It also shows my ability of teamwork by working together to create an end product.

-St. Joseph school christmas lunch

Since grade 6, St. Joseph has had an annual school lunch where your job is to bring a kindergarten student to the church where the lunch was held and make sure they eat their food while watching over them. These actions demonstrate the ability to multitask as well as being responsible.

-Volunteering at St.Joseph fun fair

In grade 7 & 8, I volunteered at the St.Joseph fun fair. Volunteering here demonstrated My ability to time manage and my people skills by interacting and helping the younger kids have fun at the fair.
