MATERIAL HANDLER

Current at PHM as the head sanitation manager, previous Supervisor with over 5 years managing the cut department in a pig processing plant. Providing executive level support to general managers, superintendent, and operations managers. Seeking to apply my detailed oriented talents and adaptable personality to fulfilling the company's needs. Experience overseeing the picnic, belly, rib, butt packaging, and main break. Experience with sanitation making sure the whole work area is clean, floor picked up, sprayed down, washed with soap, walls ceiling cleaned, trash separated and taken out. Knowing what chemicals to use when needed to clean and how to mark them and store them. Working with hand tools, knives, measuring tools, tools to fix equipment on a daily, operating machines to cut, design product to meet specs during production. Used stock-pickers, trucks, pallet jack, and forklifts to lift equipment/tools or even product from one location to another. Unloading trucks receiving materials, Stacking, storing, arranging merchandise/materials in assign areas; while keeping track with inventory. Loading packages with straps, seals as needed and assigned while shipping out goods.

• Document and verify all necessary paperwork for all job assignments.

• Operated computer systems to input and retrieve information when needed for the job assignment.

• Use equipment to clean and spray down floors to keep presentable. To eliminate bacteria and keep everything sanitize on a daily basis to meet government, and company regulations

• Recycle cardboard in a cardboard Baler, place trash in a trash compactor.

• Knowledge of chemicals and how to use, store, and the hazard use of each specific chemical used with in the facility.

• Directly supervise production supervisors and employees making sure they are being safe, train properly to follow (SOPs) Standard Operating Procedures, (GMP) Good Manufacturing Procedures to prevent cross contamination and potential hazards that affect the product and making it inedible. Employees are taught to be able to identify and separate the bad and good product while working and handling product.

• Responsible for the critical control points and company rules that HACCP as in place to prevent or eliminate a food safety hazard or reduce it to an acceptable level. Such as metal detectors, 180-degree water, ssop, etc.

• In charge of walking areas making sure there’s no condensation, possible foreign material in areas with product.

• Pre-Op- Showing up early to make sure all the conveyer belts, ceiling, machines, walls, and equipment are sanitized properly by taking Lab test to verify that no bacteria is still left behind from the previous day. USDA has to release the floor before production even starts.

• During production, Machines are checked to make sure they aren’t affecting the product by metal shavings, broken pieces/blades, oil leaks or anything that is not for human consumption.

• Disciplining employees for not obeying the government and company policies. By not being safe or handling product correctly.

• Making sure labels have the current dates and information that matches the product that’s being packed and boxed. Specifications are being met that are approved by upper management/USDA and customers.

• The writing on the Product boxes are legible and USDA stamped on each box before getting sent to shipping or customers.

• Checking temperatures to make sure they are matching government regulations.

• Hold meeting with employees whether to communicate or address an issue.

• Trouble-shoot when in a situation to be in control or on top of the problem, so product does not get affected. By hanging plastic, combo off product, stopping production, fixing the problem, stop operating certain equipment to eliminate potential hazards just depending on what’s going on at the time.

• Knife training is a must knowing how to sharpen and cut to get more familiar with the product.

• Corrective Actions where token place when needed. If it was due to an employee miss- handling product, or from an oil leak. All Actions were done on time and done right to prevent a (NR) Noncompliance Report from the USDA. Education:
