About Me

My name is Heather Corey, I am 21 years old and own a home with my husband. I was a member of 4-H for four years, and plan to attend college and become a high school guidance counselor. I enjoy drawing, listening to music, creative writing, and making jewelry. I am currently in the process of starting a business selling my jewelry and art projects. Skills and Abilities

I am a natural leader, am able to work well with others and act civil towards people I may not like very much and I tend to avoid drama to the best of my ability. I am very enthusiastic, charismatic, I have an eye for color and design, am friendly, a quick thinker, determined, outgoing, and am knowledgeable in American Sign Language (ASL). I am also adaptable, easily taught, open minded, reliable, and honest. Additionally, as a side effect of my ADHD, I find standing still and being idle very uncomfortable, so I will often seek out tasks to complete once my assigned task is finished.

Evertech Academy, Broome-Tioga BOCES, Binghamton NY Graduated 2019

I began attending Evertech in the beginning of my tenth grade year. Received honor roll or high honor roll all but one quarter.

Communication

As a requirement for 4H, I gave a public presentation on the psychological effects of bullying. I ended up in the state level (the highest it goes) and got a special award in Communication arts. I also got a blue ribbon and special recognition for a story I had in the state fair. I have a total of 11 blue ribbons and one red ribbon from exhibits in the county and state fair. In addition, I participated in the 2018 Student Safety Seminar with Fred Akshar. I also entered an underage drinking prevention poster contest sponsored by Lourde's and Mirabito and got second place out of over 300 entries, 150 of which were voted on for top ten. I also participated in Girl Scouts in my youth, and earned a bronze award (one of the requirements for which is 200 or more hours of community service) by creating a communal garden and using gourds from that garden to make birdhouses for endangered eastern bluebirds.
