I have over 37 years of experience in new construction, maintenance, scheduled and emergency turnarounds and outages of oil refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, power plants (natural gas and coal burners) and numerous other facilities in the oil and gas industry. I have approximately 20 years experience as a maintenance supervisor for Bay LTD at Valero Refining in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Previously, I was employed by such companies as HB Zachry, Becon Construction, Starcon, Bay Ltd., Repcon, Koch Refining, Wyatt Field Services, and J.E. Merit just to name a few. My experience includes working crafts such as pipefitter/fabricator, boilermaker, rigger, iron worker, structural fitter, safety representative, QC, process operator, and equipment operator. I have worked as a supervisor on numerous occasions for these crafts as well.
Additionally, I owned and operated Quick Silver Hot Shot, an oilfield delivery service from Q1 2013 to Q4 of 2015. Also, worked as a golf course maintenance crew member at Palmilla Beach Golf Club in Port Aransas, Texas until fall of 2017, and recently joined the guest services team as a golf course assistant.
In conclusion, I have worked numerous shut downs, turn arounds, start ups, and outages in refineries, power plants, and chemical plants. On these projects, I have worked up to the super intendant level in piping and mechanical for over 30 years. I have participated in commissioning, decommissioning, shut down and start up of various piping systems and mechanical equipment over the years. I worked in the field for many years on these tasks, and for the last 15 years I’ve been involved in the leading roles as a supervisor or trainer for the aforementioned tasks of commissioning, decommissioning and testing of various piping systems, heaters, boilers, heat exchangers, vessels, and towers. I have also served in the role of LOTO coordinator on several turnarounds, and have been on committees that rewrote operations procedures for many of these sites.
