Technical Skills

• Proficient in using ANSYS, SolidWork, MatLab.

• Proficient in C++, Matlab, Python.

• Experienced in working on dynamic, kinematic robot models, conceptual designs and projects.

• Experienced with using embedded systems, like Raspberry Pi, ESP 32, and sensors like lidar, camera, etc.

• Experienced with motion planning, path planning techniques.

• Experienced with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.

• Experienced with SLAM, ROS (Robot Operating System), Linux. Project Experience

• ROS Hexapod December 2021 – Present

- This project is to build a better hexapod than the one in graduate thesis. Hexapod can be directly controlled with 6 DOF by laptop through ROS. More hardware is added to have better control, such as force sensors, Dynamixel servos, etc. A lidar is attached on the hexapod to draw a map with ROS.

• Graduate Thesis Oct 2019 – May 2021

- This thesis was about improving the hexapod’s navigability by using inverse kinematic landmark navigation. The point was to reduce the drifting and heading errors occurred during moving. Hexapod parts were built by 3D printer and manipulated by servo motors. It was controlled by Arduino microcontroller and collected landmark data by using camera and ultrasonic sensor. Data collected was computed to alleviate errors for next planning steps.

• Senior Project August 2018 – May 2019

- Helping Parker company to find out a new manufacturing process of producing PTFE tube. The project focuses on reducing time and improving the quality of the tube. In this project, I have a role of selecting materials and working on the control system of the mechanism.

• 5 Link bar Fall 2018

- The project was built based on dynamic equation of motion and torque control to manipulate the 5-link bars with 2 DC motors. Autolev program was used to build up the dynamic model of link bar. The link bar was carefully simulated on Matlab. Then, the equation of motion and torque control was converted into Arduino code to practically control 2 DC motors with Arduino

• Robotic Side Project Summer 2018 – Fall 2018

- Raspberry mobile robot: The project is to learn about raspberry pi. I created a mobile robot with a camera, line sensor, motors and speaker. This robot is able to track and follow the line or object. It also can notify if it is having any problem like getting off in track with the object or line.

- Auto-gripping arm: This is my side project that I created a robotic arm which automatically grabs objects inside its workspace. Ultrasonic sensor and servo motors are used in this project. I also can control it by using Bluetooth to connect with the gripping arm
