Role and Responsibilities:
Ensure implementation of emergency procedures, first aid facilities and safety signs.
Provide safety induction for company employees and workers, conduct STARRT (Safety Task Analysis Risk Reduction Talk), safety meetings and safety walkabouts to enhance the occupational health and safety standards.
Ensure project PPE is resourced & available.
Ensure good safety practice is managed & maintain.
Prepare accident, incident reports recommending corrective actions resulting from investigations and conduct periodic follow-up.
Prepare inspection and maintenance schedules of firefighting and safety equipment’s.
Supervise lifting activities and compile & carry out toolbox talks, as necessary.
Ensure that the daily task briefing, operator checklists and work permits are in place and are complied with.
Carry out weekly and monthly inspection, and ensure proper closeout of issues identified.
Assist company safety officer for site audits and inspection.
Conduct emergency drills, carry out necessary Fire prevention & protection on site.
Safety posters, board, publications and Safe working methods on the heights.
Ensure strict implementation of Color coding system on all lifting gears and accessories.
Correct Signaling of cranes & other heavy equipment operation.
Preparation of various Safety documentations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as applicable.
Conduct Safety Campaigns and communicate HSE Alerts - Lessons learned.
Carry out Light (Illumination) and Noise monitoring.
Visual inspection and preparation of checklist for Fire extinguishers, Gas cutting set, Scaffolding, full body harness, plant and equipment & electric power tools and liaison with relevant departments for detailed written inspections and report.
Heat Stress Monitoring (if required), Shaft Air temperature, Gas & Air velocity monitoring.
Arrange training programs for company employees such as Firefighting, Work at height and Fire prevention training through my HSE Manager.
Assist the HSE Manager in preparing HSE Plan, Evacuation plan, Rescue plan, Fire plan and Fire Risk Assessment.
Daily safety issues review and compliance report preparation.
Preparation of Safety signage in various languages and allocate suitably & prominently.
