Assisting Registered Nurses in the delivery of quality healthcare services at the clinic
Manning the reception, receiving patients recording their personal details and directing them to the right department for their particular health needs
Responsible for ordering, receiving and safe custody of clinic consumables and stationer
Observing, monitoring and recording patients’ vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure and pulse on arrival or during their stay at the clinic. Immediately reporting any worrying cases to the Registered Nurse
Assisting patients with correct and timeous medication intake according to doctor’s instructions
Wound cleaning and dressing
Providing and maintaining personal hygiene and care such as bed turns, bathing, dressing, oral care and toileting to patients admitted into the clinic.
Initiated a scheduled regular bed linen changing and patient bed turns to avoid bed sores. Schedule was adopted and it reduced bed sores by 100%
Emotionally supporting patients through providing therapeutic conversation and company.
Maintaining a good rapport with patients and their family members and effectively communicating with them regarding patient’s conditions in accordance with hospital regulations and policy.
Responsible for correct recording, filling and safe custody of clinic records and patient files.
Assisting with patient mobility within the clinic and safe comfortable use of wheelchairs.
Safeguarding patients from any form of abuse of harm and maintaining their dignity and confidentiality
Meal preparation, serving and helping patients with eating
General cleaning and sanitisation of hospital rooms and equipment to maintain an infection free hospital environment
