Results-oriented and dynamic professional with 40+ years of experience being involved in the oil and gas exploration and production industry delineating drilling prospects with well logs, sample studies, geophysical data. Looked for bypassed pay through careful sample study. Most wells were drilled with one main objective and a secondary objective, thus leaving many wells with bypassed pay recognizable through careful sample study and surrounding geology. I very much enjoyed finding bypassed pay through sample study. I have been an employee of oil and gas companies, an oil business owner and consultant for several decades, often working 12+ hours a day to get a job done completely and correctly and enjoyed this great puzzle of finding oil and gas. Experienced in evaluating, studying and describing well cuttings, noting shows of oil and gas, rates of penetration, formation tops and sending reports into the Operator offices. I am very careful in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and most of all watching for shows and notifying office personnel of shows of oil and gas. Skilled at keeping drilling time accurately and continual evaluation of the amount of gas in the mud and noting shows of gas by use of a gas chromatograph. Hardworking individual with experience studying well logs and mud logs around a new well about to be drilled and logged. When new wells are drilling making certain the operator knows of an oil or gas show for careful evaluation to determine if it is productive. Keeping the operator appraised of what part of the formation he is drilling in to assist in any needed changes in inclination or azimuth in horizontal drilling. Notify if bit has gone out of the intended drilling zone.

• Problem Solving – Proven ability to troubleshoot/develop creative and innovative solutions to challenges. Mechanically inclined with the ability to figure out how to fix things that are not working properly.

• Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication Skills – Excellent communication and organizational skills. Accustomed to working with all people in the oil industry and understanding their role and being involved in all phases in the oil & gas exploration and production industry.

• Work Ethic and Professionalism – Solid professional ethical standards and a proven record of good results-oriented work, ran many sets of samples, worked with wireline logs and seismic. Maintain focus on doing my job accurately and working hard to help the company achieve profitable money-making bottom- line results.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Oklahoma City, OK

Independent Petroleum Geologist 2015 – Present

• Mapped horizontal oil plays, keeping up with progressive direction of plays and kept notes on the sweet spots. Ran samples when available as I enjoy seeing the things and trends that very few people get to see and do. Used samples when available and electric logs to look for shallow up hole pay.

• Worked trading minerals in the SCOOP play and underexplored areas with low-cost minerals and high potential.

• Proven ability to work hard and understand the importance of sample examination recording shows

,drilling time and determining bit position to be in or out of the horizontal target zone and assist in corrections to the inclination or azimuth of the drilling direction.

• Finding surveys to know what the azimuth, inclination, TVD and MD of a horizontal well is along the path it took.

NEI- Jim Newkumet association and joint ventures 2010 -2015

• Worked with NEI in joint efforts to locate and acquire wells to unitize as water floods

• Acquired sample sets to analyze, along with wireline logs.

• Reliability of seeing residual oil, porosity and permeability and lithology. Wire line logs are easily miscalculated and miss leading due to using inaccurate Rws, and nonspecific non detailed lithology causing error in original oil in place calculations, recovery factors and oil left in the ground .

• I worked hard to acquire these samples from old operators and sample cut libraries and study these samples along with wireline logs.

• Drilled infill wells and injection wells. Established the East French waterflood unit, Northeast Trimue unit, South Cornish horizontal drilling venture. Performed sample analysis on any new drilling . Finley – Jim Newkumet joint venture 2005 -2010

• Worked for Finley Resources to develop economic drilling prospects. Kept costs down for the development of medium-sized oil fields based on Newkumet geologic mapping and sample examination.

• Assigned duties of Well Site Geologist where there was no need for a full expensive mud-logging trailer.

• Stayed at well sites and efficiently analyzed samples, oil shows, gas kicks and rate of penetration.

• Analyzed samples, report shows, drill offs, faults, unexpected lithologic changes. These reports were used with electric logs to pick perforations and recompletions.

• Sample descriptions included color, crystallinity, grain size, composition, porosity if present, fractures if present, matrix composition, angularity, fluorescence if any, oil saturation if any.

• Sent reports into the Finley office and notified immediately of significant shows or other occurrences requiring attention by management.

The following are some of many wells drilled by Finley Resources based on Newkumet's well log and sample work:

• Lake Texoma #1, Ascension Point #1, Glasses Mound 1-A, Ascension Point #2, Ascension Point #3, Ascension Point #4, Baker Hills #1, Baker Hills #2, Ollie Beard #1, Ollie Beard #2, ZZ Rock #1, ZZ Rock #2, #1 Pate, Jura

#1 (Jura #1 was a big new field discovery), Barite Rose, #1 Murphy, Drummond #1, Drummond #2, Joe Bowen #1, Lake Texoma #3, Martha Speaks, and George Akers #1, WMA #1 . There are many other wells that I have caused to be drilled or have been involved with.

• Jim Newkumet – NCI Association 1997 -2005

• Worked with the NCI partnership to prospect for waterfloods and new drilling targets. Studied well logs, well samples, and seismic. Located several waterflood prospects, which were unitized and flooded. Some being SE Needmore, South CenterPoint, Shawnee Lake, West Chickasha, Jarman #1, NE Nahola, #1 Crane State, Williams #1-20, Williams #2 and #3

• Ran samples with a mud logger usually or myself only and noted any oil or gas shows and rate of penetration to compare with the electric logs to make pipe-setting decision NFC – Developing Drilling Prospects 1990 – 1997

NEI – Developing Prospects 1987 – 1990
