My responsibility include, opening the Department each day at 5:45 a.m. Admitting and Discharging patients. Processing Physician's orders, receiving and sending Faxes. Ordering and maintaining supplys, maintaining office equipment. Each day I will have to make charts for the following day's procedures, assign arrival times and call the Patient's to confirm and give instructions. Obtain authorization's for CT Scans and set up out patient procedures. Assist Patients with various needs when Nursing staff is not available. Answer incoming phone calls, directing calls and taking messages.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center - West Islip, NY Thru my career at Good Samaritan Hospital, I gained alot of valuable experience. For the first 1yr and a half I was a Float Unit Secretary. I worked as a fillin secretary in the Nursing Office as needed. I took a part time weekend position on the Cardiac Transition unit for 4 1/2 Years. In March of 1995 I went to a position of Admitting Clerk for ambulatory care. In February of 2005. I took a position at the Pediatric center and stayed until 2013 when I moved to Anniston Al. All of the above stated jobs included duties that I'm currently doing in my present position at Regional Medical center GI Lab, with the exception of Medical Billing. I had some Medical Billing training the last year and1/2 at the end of career at Good Samaritan Hospital.
