Work station occupancy and necessities. In recent years I have had the opportunity to attend between 25 and 35 ships every year within Afrimar besides that several type of Ship as container ship, ship carrying special packages, tanker and bulk carriers.

The shipping agent and the link between the shipowner, the vessel and the local authority concerned is in fact the link between the vessel and the persons entitled to port activity.

Before vessel’s berthing :

Announce the container ship of the ship owner ARKAS line to the local authorities concerned and having rights to the Harbor Master activity of the latter.

Preparation of necessary documents such as Arrival Notification, Arrival Declaration, Pilotage/Towing Request (Tag) etc.

Attend the port meeting and communicate the port situation with the ship owner concerned.

On berthing:

Contact the right holders of the berthing operation to assist the ship (as a ship mooring service, ship guarding, etc.)

Ensures the conformity of documents on board before verification of the authorities concerned at the berthing.

Resolve conflicts, decline problems, guarantee the operation to occupy the ship during their stopover.

To guarantee the smooth running of the work during the stopover of the ship, to ensure the fluidity of operation all by reducing the downtime, the disfunctioning of operation and tools and/or rolling gear.

Serve the ship these documents necessary for departure,Ensures the conformities of the latter resolve all kinds of conflicts with the local authorities.

Mailing and other, Communicate document and status of the daily ship with the shipowner.

After ship’s departure :

Collect invoices during the ship’s stopover, pay certain bills in emergency, release to the authority concerned.

Communicate the current daily port situation with the shipowner to occupy the vessel he is following.

Assists in planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising activities and operations before, after and during the port of call of the subject ship.

Monitor and record import-export transaction statistics.

Write regular daily reports regarding the evaluation of operations activities for internal and external maritime agency.
